This role is in the internet marketing team within the growth department
Facebook gets billions of SEO visits a month and has a little under a billion pages we want to rank for in search
If you want to reach the next level in SEO and internet marketing this is the best place to learn and grow right now
There are serious challenges to doing seo here around: AJAX loading of pages logged in, user privacy issues around content being indexed, the scale of our site
Your job will be to: pull data (and set up scalable processes so you only ever pull a data set the hard way once) to find opportunities and support projects we want to execute, crawl/browse our site and other companies to identify opportunities for us to expand our seo traffic/conversions from seo traffic, ensure we are correctly tracking the impact of SEO on the company (user acquisition, resurrection and retention)

You are really scrappy, the sort of person with their own website who will hack together the code to make things happen yourself if you need to do so
You will have your own website that you are hacking on and driving traffic to via seo/social media and has 10k's or 100k's of visitors a month. It is ok if you have just created projects like this at your existing company but this is the style of person we want
>1year experience at an internet company/agency in an execution role dealing with sites with millions or 10's of millions of SEO visits a week
Ideally experience dealing with SEO in multiple languages and ideally experience working with Naver/Yahoo Japan/Yandex as well as Google
You will have a technical degree with a background in engineering. It would be awesome if you are a former engineer/product manager/datawarehouse engineer
Preferred degrees: BS or MS degree in economics, engineering, computer science, physics, math or other technical degree
You should be able to write SQL and will have at least some basic coding skills in python, php, perl or similar
Overall we need someone with a positive attitude, enjoys being part of a team, is strongly data led, extremely scrappy and very, very proactive
Facebook and especially internet marketing at Facebook is very results driven and resources are allocated to self starters. You need to be comfortable with that
